What a great week

I just spent the day at Panera Bread knitting. My favorite thing to do! I am in the 2009 Wullenstudio Sock Club and today there was a party to cast on, knit, eat (as usual) and have fun. Yes, I had a great time, but, as usual the socks beat me. Yet another pair on needles, but they are coming off. I used a set of needles that were to large. I was very excited that I had gotten so far on my socks but I had to rip the whole thing out!!!

I have also entered the Sock contest on Ravelry from Sheila Rovelstad Designs. Anyone out there getting this theme. I start knitting socks but somehow never finish them! I have 4 pair on needles right now. I hear you, I am knitting to the point of getting a blister!!!

I have also been in a swap and my partner has received her package from me. She has posted her pics and she seems to be very happy.

Sounds like a great week to me!

The Entire World Knows....

Or at least it feels as if everyone knows, that I can't type.

I knit with my usual group at Panera tonight and how or why we started talking about my typing skills I will never remember. It is no big secret that I am not a typer but OMG! It was very funny!

I need to start posting pictures because I am winning the sock war at the moment! i actually knit my heel flap tonight and turned my heel. It is so tight. I have to figure out how to loosen up my stitches. Just another joke at my expense.

on to learning more things.....

Frog

Socks, Socks and more socks. I am not sure why I insist on knitting them but I am determined that they will not beat me! I am working on a pair and the heel is driving me crazy. It is a pattern from Socks that Rocks but I am using yarn from Wullenstudio. A few weeks ago I remember knitting on the foot but then came the voice of a friend. "Why don't you do another repeat on the leg? Look at all the yarn you have". Well, that is where it all started. I ripped it all back to the leg and actually did another repeat of the pattern. I must admit, it will make the leg 2" longer and I will have plenty of yarn left. When I finally got to the heel again I tried to follow the pattern (not what I did the first time). It is a short row heel and I am not good at those wrap and turns. Well, somewhere along the way I dropped a stitch and NO ONE knew how to help me pick it up. Yes, you can all guess what happened. So after I took it back (again) I decided not to try that again.

Picture this, Saturday morning, knitting in Panera's with some of my best friends. We all had a nice breakfast and all had great projects to knit on. Knit, talk, knit, talk, eat brownies, manager comes over to admire our projects, talk, knit and then someone says to me. Hey, look at your nice heel. It looks great but where is your heel flap. You have got to be kidding me. Where is my brain? DON'T ANSWER THAT. Tomorrow is Monday morning knitting at Border's so I will try again.

I am going to try to make this blog public tonight. Let's see how it goes.

The First Day

As most of my friends already know, I don't type. I just never took typing. I have tried Mavis Beacon (thanks Grieney) but I think my brain is too old and I am going to type using these two fingers forever! Amazing, a person who can't type but knits. Don't let me fool you. I knit as slow as I type. Don't you guys pay attention to how long I am working on a project. I am lucky if I get two projects done in a year. But that does not stop me from accumulating stash!

I hear you asking, why a blog? I am asking the same question. Most of my friends have a blog and I figure if they can blog than so can I. Than there seems to be this issue of joining Ravelry swaps. I love the swaps but some of them require blogs with a minimum of so many posts so her I go.

I am starting to get butterfly's in my stomach from just thinking of the responsibility that comes with a blog. I have a hard enough time keeping up with Ravelry. Okay, I hear you, loud and clear. I don't keep up with Ravelry. Pictures and post. Got It

I am going back to fixing all the layouts before I make this blog public. Hope to hear from you soon!
